Here at Ability, the training has commenced and the Commercial Heating Flow Another String to our Bow. Keeping our knowledge base up to date is important. It’s also a priority to allow our understanding of the plumbing world to grow and experience gained become a useful tool in the plumbing and heating field.
That’s what here at Ability, we are constantly going on new courses and going back to our regular training center for refresher courses in the gas and heating industry. This week it happens to be the commercial upgrade form domestic gas for four days. It’s not just your boiler pipes that need to flow; it’s our service to you and the work in the industry.
Changes to energy labeling
Two years since the last time the energy efficiency improvements for water heaters, Heatrae Sadia is one of the manufacturers alerting installers to changes to the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations (widely referred to as ERP) which will enter its next phase towards the end of September.
What does this mean for Installers?
It’s important you understand that these products will be still using the previous range of energy efficiency categories (Up to the Class A +++).
Therefore for the next 3 years remember that it’s only heating systems that integrate renewable that can achieve the highest efficiency rating.
The energy label itself will also be changing to encompass a new A+ rating, whilst the G band will be removed. Although the colours associated with each rating will change, the actual efficiency parameters per band will stay the same.
