Our emergency local plumber had been called to a house in Fordcombe where an unfortunate carpet fitter had put a nail through a pipe! After isolating the water supply and draining the system a tricky repair lied ahead. With a 28mm copper pipe up against a joist and wooden panel, it was a tight job. However, where there’s a will there’s a way and our emergency local plumber, with his skills, was able to manoeuvre the pipe, cut the necessary section out and replace it with the correct fitting for the right size pipework.
Problems that occur for our emergency local plumber
Draining down and filling up can be challenging at times with gravity feed systems and so our emergency local plumber didn’t know how long this job would take as time has to be spent venting out airlocks and seeing that the water fills back into the system the correct way. Particularly with an older system that perhaps hasn’t had any work or change for some time. In this instance, the usual problems were overcome with ease as experience enables us to anticipate what might be an issue and then tackle that situation accordingly. The drain point was an issue, to be expected so a new drain cock was fitted before filling up the system.
Once our emergency local plumber had finished and all was well with the new pipework and fittings the customer was reassured that any further problems with air or noise would be addressed as we are always at the end of the phone and ready to return because we honour our work. That’s how we keep our existing customer base happy and continue to grow with new customers as the word gets around.
