Our Pricing Structure

Our Labour charge is a minimum charge for the first hour. After the first hour, we charge per 30-minute increments at half of the hourly rate. Rates exclude materials and VAT.

Payment must be made on completion of work in full by credit card or debit card, which will be processed against the card details given to the office at time of booking. A deferred charge will show in your account for either the quoted amount or for the first hour of labour. This will not be processed until the engineer has completed their visit.

A cancellation fee may apply in the event of a booking being cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. Your card details are not stored by us, however, our merchant card service provide Stripe may hold them secure if a balance payment is due.

Cancelled jobs will still show as a deferred payment, even if you are not charged a cancellation fee. These can take up to 7 days to drop back to your available balance in your account, and is outside of Ability’s control.

Same day service for emergencies or out of hours work starts at the rates stated in each emergency category, the office will explain if the charge will be higher for any reason.
