From domestic to commercial projects, from a tap washer, a gas fire service to a complete bathroom or boiler installation at highly competitive prices.

We are confident that our prices cannot be beaten on quality and cost; we regularly check our prices to keep us competitive. However, we will be happy to try and price match any of our competitors’ quotes.

Emergency Rate:

Same day service for emergencies starts at £120.00, the office will explain if the charge will be higher for any reason.

Our Rates:

Our Labour charge is a minimum charge for the first hour, this is up to and part of the hour. After the first hour, we charge per 30-minute increments. Rates exclude materials and VAT.

*Fixed Prices can be given if requested either verbal or a written quotation by the engineer before work commences and are subject to VAT 

Payment must be made on completion of work in full by credit card or debit card, which will be processed against the card details given to the office at time of booking.

When booking as a business, the first job will be booked against a credit or debit card, if you wish to then move to be invoiced then this can be arranged with the office.

All bookings will be secured against a debit/credit card. A deferred charge will show in your account for either the quoted amount or for the first hour of labour. This will not be processed until the engineer has completed their visit.

A cancellation fee will apply in the event of a booking being cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Your card details are not stored by us, however, our merchant card services may hold them secure in the card machine if a balance payment is due.

Cancelled jobs will still show as a deferred payment, even if you are not charged a cancellation fee. These can take up to 7 days to drop back to your available balance in your account, and is outside of Ability’s control.

We reserve the right to charge an agreed amount at our discretion when providing an emergency visit or emergency call out. Our general emergency rate will be between £120.00 and £160.00 for domestic work, commercial will be at a higher rate.

When we arrive we endeavour to solve or repair your problem or appliance within the first hour if however we cannot, a temporary repair will be made if possible and an overall cost will be given if a return visit is required. Your return visit will be a deferred charge at the minimum rate of parts plus half an hour labour.
